About The MILK Research and Educational Group at NC State
The MILK Research and Education team at NC State University is a group of people dedicated to advancing maternal and infant nutrition through education, outreach, and research. The team focuses on educating healthcare providers, health workers, and the community about breastfeeding and nutrition, and conducting outreach/extension by offering a free breastfeeding support group in Willow Spring, NC, and assisting others in starting similar groups. We also host an annual conference at NC State where providers can come together to learn, network, and eat good food together. Their research emphasizes breastfeeding support in both community and clinical settings, with the goal of improving health outcomes for all people.
