We are excited to announce that the MILK Research and Educational Group’s annual conference will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at NC State University’s Talley Student Union! Our conference brings together healthcare providers, lactation professionals, educators, researchers, and students from across North Carolina for a day of learning, networking, and inspiration.

Our conference offers high-quality, evidence-based education in a welcoming, relaxed, and collaborative environment. Attendees will enjoy presentations from leading experts on topics related to breastfeeding, human lactation, and maternal and infant nutrition. In addition to formal presentations, participants will have the opportunity to network with peers, exchange ideas, and connect with organizations and resources that can strengthen their work. And yes – there will be plenty of good food!

Who should attend? Lactation consultants (including aspiring lactation consultants), nurses, dietitians, and other healthcare providers; educators and researchers in maternal and child health; public health professionals; community leaders and advocates; policy makers; students in healthcare and public health fields; and anyone passionate about supporting breastfeeding families will find valuable takeaways from our conference sessions and networking opportunities.

Continuing Education (CE) Credits: CE credits are pending; updates related to CE credits will be posted to the registration page. Full conference attendance and completion of the post-conference evaluation are required for awarding CE credits. Time for registration, meals, breaks, and closing/wrap-up does not count towards total continuing education hours.
